Recently, the closing ceremony of the 18th Zibo Middle School Student Games and the Zibo School Sports Work Experience Sharing Conference were successfully held in Zichuan District. At the closing ceremony, an award ceremony was held for units and schools that achieved outstanding results, and a handover ceremony for the hosting of the 19th Zibo Middle School Games was held.
After the ceremony, representatives from Zibo Special Education Center, Yiyuan County Yiheyuan School, Linzi District Xuanling Primary School, Zibo High-tech Zone, Linzi District, Zhangdian District Education Administration and Zibo No. 7 Middle School made speeches and shared their experiences and practices in school sports. Zhao Zhiyuan first congratulated the successful holding of this middle school sports meeting. Then, Zhao Zhiyuan conducted a detailed analysis on the significance, organizational structure, key links and evaluation and assessment of the construction of the school sports event system under the title of "Building a new mechanism for school sports work with "regular competitions" as the core". This year's middle school student sports meeting started on June 6 and lasted for nearly two months. It had two groups: general students and special needs students. A total of 694 teams with 13,708 athletes from various districts and counties, high schools (secondary vocational schools), and special education schools participated in 22 major events and 302 minor events. Compared with last year, there were 102 more participating schools and 1,697 more participants. The scale of the event and the number of participants reached new highs.
After fierce competition, the teams from Zhangdian District, Linzi District and Zibochuan District won the top three places in the total group score of Group A of districts and counties; the teams from Zibo High-tech Zone, Municipal Junior High School Alliance and Zibo Economic Development Zone won the top three places in the total group score of Group B of districts and counties; Zibo Experimental Middle School, Linzi Middle School and Zibo Middle School won the top three places in the high school group total score; the teams from Linzi District, Zhangdian District and Boshan District won the top three places in the "Sunshine Sports Cup" of Group A of districts and counties; the teams from Zibo Economic Development Zone, Zibo High-tech Zone and Municipal Junior High School Alliance won the top three places in the "Sunshine Sports Cup" of Group B of districts and counties; Zibo Special Education Center, Zhoucun District Special Education School and Huantai County Special Education School won the top three places in the total group score of special needs students; 26 delegations (teams) including Zhangdian District won the "Sports Ethics and Style Award".
The successful holding of the Zibo City Middle School Students Games will play a positive role in promoting the reform and development of school sports in the new era, improving the school sports extracurricular training system, improving the school sports competition system, and laying a solid foundation for the cultivation of sports reserve talents.
