IT Home reported on August 5 that on the evening of August 2, Beijing time, Figure AI, supported by OpenAI and other companies, released a trailer for its new generation humanoid robot Figure 02, and announced that it will be officially released on August 6 (tomorrow).

The trailer focuses on the robot'shardwareIt shows the details of Figure 02's joints and limbs. The fingers are quite flexible, the range of motion can reach 195 degrees, and the torque rating is up to 150N・m. Brett Adcock, founder of Figure AI, even claimed that Figure 02 will beThe most advanced on earthhumanoid robot.

The company demonstrated the skills and parameters of Figure 01 in March this year. According to IT Home, Figure 01 is 167.64 cm (5 feet 6 inches) tall, weighs 59.8 kg (132 pounds), can carry up to 20 kg (44 pounds), and moves at a speed of 1.2 meters per second (about 2.7 miles per hour).

The biggest highlight of Figure 01 is that it can have a normal and complete conversation with humans by using OpenAI's large language model. Since the OpenAI model also supports multimodal input, it can provide advanced visual and language intelligence for Figure 01. Figure neural networks can provide fast, low-level, and dexterous robot movements.

The video shows that Figure 01 can understand the content in the scene and respond to the user's voice (speech-to-speech reasoning). Comparing the two videos, Figure 02 is expected to focus on hardware or motion capabilities.
