IT Home reported on August 3 that Google recently launched an "Android Application Security Knowledge Base (AAKB)" for Android developers, claiming that it can help developers build more secure applications.

It is reported that the relevant knowledge base mainly contains various security guide articles. Google claims that these articles will be continuously updated.Continuously add the latest content based on the latest security threats and technology trends in the industryDevelopers can obtain the latest security guidelines and repair suggestions from it, thereby discovering and repairing vulnerabilities early in the development process and improving the security and quality of the overall product.

IT Home noted that readers can view articles directly in the knowledge base (no need to log in) and leave comments on the content of the articles (login is required). Google said that they used a "clear and verified" approach to write guidelines, which claim to follow the OWASP MASVS standard and have been reviewed by technical partners such as Microsoft to ensure that the content can provide industry-standard guidance to help developers understand/fix possible security risks in their applications.

Google also mentioned that the relevant guidelines have also been embedded in the built-in code inspection function (Lint Checks) of Android Studio. When developers build applications, the IDE's code inspection function can provide relevant AAKB articles to help developers reduce problems in the code immediately.
