Another analyst predicts that Apple will launch a foldable device in 2026, saying that Apple plans to launch two products that year. Rumors about Apple's fabled flexible smartphone, the iPhone Fold, have been circulating for a long time, and the hardware is believed to be available in 2026. Now, an analyst has confirmed the release date again, not only that, but he also said that there will be other products on the market.

According to Haitong Securities analyst Jeff Pu, Apple will launch a foldable device in 2026. This coincides with other rumors about the iPhone folding timeline, but more importantly, it won't be the only one. Pu believes that Apple may launch a foldable iPad and iPhone Fold in the second half of 2026. While the product could have been released earlier, Pu believes that display durability issues have led to delays in its development and release.

There have been almost as many rumors about a foldable iPad as there have been about the iPhone Fold, which is essentially the same concept but in a larger form factor. In February, rumors suggested it could be a 7-inch or 8-inch device that would serve as an iPad mini replacement.

Additionally, there are hints that a larger foldable screen (20 inches) is also in the works.

While discussing flexible devices, Pu also mentioned the prospect of the iPhone 17 Slim, a thinner version of the iPhone that could replace the Plus model. The model is believed to help drive sales of the 2025 device based on Apple Intelligence developments.
