IT Home reported on August 2:UBports Foundation released Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-5 version update on July 30, it has been 6 months since the last OTA-4 update was released.

The Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-5 update is based on the Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Focal Fossa) update. OTA-4 users can open the System Settings app and jump to the Update page to update.

The Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-5 update mainly refines the power profile system, which can distinguish between sustained mode and interactive mode on supported devices.

In the event of a calendar sync failure due to an authentication issue, the new version will notify the user and prompt the user to enter a new password if necessary.

The Ubuntu Touch 20.04 OTA-5 update also fixes issues that occurred during the migration process from Ubuntu 16.04 LTS to Ubuntu 20.04 LTS.

This build has some known issues, such as the "Waydroid Stop" app portal icon being broken for Waydroid Helper app users due to stability issues, and the double-tap to wake gesture being disabled on some devices like the Google Pixel 3a.
