At the American game exhibition GenCon 2024, the virtual tabletop game "Project Sigil" of "Dungeons & Dragons" was unveiled. This will be a powerful new tool to experience the charm of D&D games in a whole new way.

In the "Project Sigil" demonstration at GenCon 2024, two characters, Astaron and Kalak, from "Baldur's Gate 3", which was officially launched last year and won the TGA Game of the Year, were shown.

Although the character chess piece models of "Project Sigil" are static effects, enough spell effects and other content have been produced with the help of Unreal Engine 4. Chris Cao, the head of "Project Sigil", described it as "a 3D sandbox that can quickly, fun and immersively bring your favorite games into reality", and said that players can use "powerful tools to create your favorite environments and character models."

In addition to the surprise appearance of characters from Baldur's Gate 3, "Project Sigil", as a new D&D tool game, will also support the seamless import of characters, maps, monsters and other content from the D&D Beyond platform.

It is understood that "Project Sigil" will be free, but with certain functional limitations. However, D&D Beyond subscription members have higher access rights. The game is expected to start closed testing this fall.
