Social media Meta Platforms (Meta) released its financial report today. The report shows that Meta's revenue in the first half of 2024 was US$75.527 billion, compared with US$60.645 billion in the same period last year;

Meta's revenue from Family of Apps in the first half of 2024 was US$74.734 billion, compared with US$60.029 billion in the same period last year; revenue from Reality Labs was US$793 million, compared with US$616 million in the same period last year; among them, Meta's revenue from Family of Apps in the second quarter of 2024 was US$38.718 billion, compared with US$31.723 billion in the same period last year; revenue from Reality Labs was US$353 million, compared with US$276 million in the same period last year.



Meta's operating profit from Family of Apps in the first half of 2024 was US$37 billion, compared with US$24.351 billion in the same period last year; the operating loss from Reality Labs was US$8.334 billion, compared with US$7.732 billion in the same period last year; among them, Meta's operating profit from Family of Apps in the second quarter of 2024 was US$19.335 billion, compared with US$13.131 billion in the same period last year; the operating loss from Reality Labs was US$4.488 billion, compared with US$3.739 billion in the same period last year.

Meta said that for Reality Labs, it continues to expect operating losses in 2024 to increase significantly year-on-year due to continued product development work and investments to further expand the ecosystem.
