In an official announcement released a few days ago, developer Rebellion revealed its latest partnership with Level Infinite, and the two parties will jointly develop an unannounced new work code-named "Project Archipelago".

The studio says this will make for an original IP that will leverage "the unique skills of both companies to create a new gaming experience."

The announcement also revealed that the game test will be launched "in the near future". This test will only include "the pre-alpha version of the code name: Archipelago Project" and a dedicated Discord chat server will be set up.

Despite the upcoming beta, no gameplay or other details about the project have been provided, but Rebellion added: "Further details about the project will be made public in due course." This could mean it will make an appearance at the 2024 Cologne International Gamescom this month.

Rebellion is known for Sniper Elite and its spin-off series Zombie Army. The developer's latest game, Zombie Army VR, was announced in February this year and is scheduled to be released this year.
