The reason why the layout of this house is so strange is related to its location. It is located at the innermost part of the whole building, and its price is much cheaper than the surrounding houses. Before renovation:

1. There is no way to fit both the sofa and the TV in the living room

The living room is trapezoidal, and there is no way to fit a TV and a sofa at the same time. If you place them east-west, it will block the entrances to the kitchen, bedroom and bathroom. If you place them north-south, the distance between these two things will be closer, and watching TV will feel very awkward.

2. The kitchen hood problem is imminent and there is no storage space

Although the kitchen is not very small, it is not very usable, and there is not even a place to cut vegetables. The location of the kitchen is also awkward, located in the middle of the whole house, and the window near the balcony cannot be opened, so the fumes inside are particularly difficult to exhaust.

3. The mother and daughter have almost no private space in the bedroom, and there is not much space to put things.

The orientation of the house is not very square, and the area is very small, so the mother and daughter have no private space of their own.

There is also a serious lack of storage space in the house, and shoes can be seen everywhere on the floor.

4. The bathroom is too old and unusable

The designer rested at her home for one night and was woken up in the middle of the night. It turned out that there was only a wall between the lobby and the elevator, and any slight movement in the elevator could be heard clearly inside.

In order to give the mother and daughter a cozy little house in the huge city of Beijing, the designer used all his imagination and took great pains.

After renovation

With the careful renovation of the designer, the originally dilapidated old house has been transformed into a modern smart home with one living room and one bathroom, which is really gratifying.

After the designer's design, the originally crowded living room became spacious and bright.

kitchen

The biggest change in the kitchen is that it looks much more tidy than before, and there is now space for cooking, which makes it look much more fashionable than before.

The installation of electric curtains makes the whole house more intelligent.

bathroom

The original shabby bathroom could not be used. After the designer's renovation, the bathroom area was doubled compared to before, and the dry and wet areas were separated, so that the shower room and washbasin can be used at the same time.

bedroom

Under the designer's design, the bedroom has become more tidy and no longer looks messy as before, but more cozy. A large cabinet was also built in the bedroom to solve the embarrassment of the mother and daughter hanging clothes with ropes.

Because one wall was far from enough to block the noise outside, the hallway was very noisy. So the designer removed the original sound insulation layer and replaced it with a new ceramic plate that is only 0.8 cm thick and has the same function, which has a better effect.

In this way, not only the space of the foyer is increased, but the original function is also improved.
