Pokémon developer GF holds online job fair to recruit a large number of developers

Game Freak, the developer of the Pokémon series of games, announced that it will hold an "Online Briefing on Mid-Career Recruitment" from 19:30 to 21:00 (Japan time) on August 30. The event is free to attend and limited to 100 people. There are seven job categories to choose from, including: planning, design, project manager, programming, R&D, art, and logistics. Each category is also divided into multiple different positions. Some job applications do not require work experience, while other job applications require at least 3 years of relevant work experience.



According to the official website, Game Freak accepts the work-from-home system and will provide equipment of the same specifications as the company's office. It will also provide employees with initial cost assistance and remote work allowances. In addition, from April 2022, Game Freak has also introduced an "optional three-day work week" system. For full-time employees who want to take leave for purposes such as "childcare, nursing", they can enjoy 3 days of leave per week.

Game Freak is currently developing a new Pokémon game, Pokémon Legends ZA, which is expected to be released in 2025 and will be available on Switch.
