IT Home reported on July 31 that Samsung Electronics confirmed for the first time the existence of its new generation mobile processor Exynos 2500 chip in today's second quarter 2024 earnings conference call. This chip, which uses a 3nm process, is Samsung's second 3nm chip after the Exynos W1000 and will be installed in at least some Galaxy S25 series smartphones.

Samsung said,Its System LSI division is working hard to ensure a stable supply of Exynos 2500 chips to meet the needs of flagship products. The previously released 3nm chip Exynos W1000 has received a good market response, which also makes Samsung confident in the performance and energy efficiency of the Exynos 2500 chip using the second-generation GAA process.

According to Sammobile,Samsung is expected to use the Exynos 2500 chipset in the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ in most markets, while some regions, including China and North America, may use Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chips. As for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, it is possible that the entire series will be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chips.

IT Home noted that according to @OreXda's revelation, the Exynos 2500 will adopt a 10-core CPU design, including a Cortex-X5 core with a main frequency of 3.2GHz, three Cortex-A730 cores with a main frequency of 2.3-2.5GHz, two Cortex-A730 cores with a slightly lower main frequency, and four Cortex-A520 cores. In terms of graphics processing, it is expected to be equipped with the self-developed Xclipse 950 GPU based on AMD's RDNA3 architecture.
