"In the past two years, our export volume has increased by more than 30% annually on average." In recent years, more than 5,000 companies in Nanjing have conducted business through globally renowned platforms such as Amazon and TEMU, and cross-border e-commerce has become a new driving force for the development of Nanjing's foreign trade. On July 30, the opening ceremony of the 2024 China (Nanjing) Cross-border E-commerce Open Cooperation Conference was held. The first cross-border e-commerce full-scenario business service software in Jiangsu Province, "One-click Overseas HUI Enjoy Cross-border Digital Comprehensive Service Platform", was released on site to further help cross-border e-commerce companies expand into the international market. At the same time, the "Setting Sail" action of Nanjing Metropolitan Circle + Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Belt was launched, and a number of major projects were signed, which also injected strong momentum into the cross-border e-commerce industry.

One platform “masters” cross-border e-commerce, are you “HUI”?

In recent years, Nanjing has actively seized the new track of cross-border e-commerce development, and has steadily promoted the construction of the China (Nanjing) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone. Based on the 36 million consumer market and industrial belt resources of the Nanjing metropolitan area, it has cultivated a cross-border e-commerce industry ecosystem, fostered full-link cross-border e-commerce service providers, and guided traditional enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises to "go overseas to the cloud."

At present, Nanjing has more than 5,000 companies engaged in cross-border e-commerce business, and has built 19 public overseas warehouses in 11 countries and regions. The scale of cross-border e-commerce imports and exports remains the highest in the province. In order to better serve the vast number of companies to quickly go overseas, Nanjing has also gathered the city's high-quality cross-border service resources into a new digital platform, namely "One-click Overseas - HUI Cross-border Digital Comprehensive Service Platform". With only this platform, companies can "play" cross-border e-commerce.

How to use this platform? The reporter learned that the platform mainly has three core functions: "cross-border", "cross-border benefits" and "cross-border wisdom". "Cross-border" is to help enterprises learn to do cross-border business "hand in hand", provide guidance on the whole process of customs filing for cross-border e-commerce enterprises, so that novice players can quickly get started; "cross-border benefits" integrates "credit traffic lights", which can effectively remind enterprises to identify transaction risks of overseas buyers, and can also apply for trade loans of up to 10 million yuan through mobile phones through the embedded "Su Trade Loan" module; "cross-border wisdom" provides enterprises with intelligent professional services. Enterprises can choose 9610 export, 9710 website building, 9810 tax refund and other intelligent services according to their needs, and introduce AI brand services and product selection experts to intelligently answer cross-border product selection questions.

Signing of multiple major projects to accelerate enterprises' "going in" and "going out"

Several signing ceremonies for major projects were held at the event. The first cross-border e-commerce insurance product launched by Nanjing City, "Kuaidianbao", settled in Jiangbei New Area, and 20 leading companies settled in the Xinke Cross-border E-commerce Industrial Park in Jiangbei New Area.

In addition, projects such as the Nanjing Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Service Platform in Jianye District, the Huihong Zhongding Financial Empowerment Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Service Platform in Qinhuai District, the Soho Google DTC Independent Station Incubation Project in Yuhuatai District, and the Airport Cross-border E-commerce Digital Cloud Valley Base in Jiangning Development Zone were also successfully signed at this meeting.

"Today, we signed a US$5.6 million wear-resistant steel export agreement with an Ecuadorian company." Li Chao, assistant to the president of Nanjing Iron and Steel and general manager of the International Trade Company, told reporters that starting from 2021, Nanjing Iron and Steel International Trade began to explore the road of cross-border e-commerce. With the help of cross-border e-commerce platforms and the support of relevant policies and technologies, the company has embarked on the "fast track" of development. In the past two years, the company's export volume has increased by more than 30% annually, and its annual sales in 2023 will reach 27 billion yuan.

The reporter noted that the projects signed at the meeting covered multiple fields such as insurance services, investment funds, domestic products going global, and digital ecological base construction. The successful signing of these projects not only injected new vitality into the development of Nanjing's cross-border e-commerce, but also further enhanced Nanjing's competitiveness and influence in the field of cross-border e-commerce.

△The “Cross-border e-commerce + industrial belt” action of Nanjing Metropolitan Area was launched

At the meeting, the Nanjing Metropolitan Area Government announced that it would jointly launch the Nanjing Metropolitan Area "Cross-border E-commerce + Industrial Belt" action plan with Amazon Global Selling to help the cross-border e-commerce industrial belt "set sail" to the sea. In addition, the "Silk Road E-commerce" pilot talent plan of Jiangsu Province's colleges and universities was also launched simultaneously to provide more high-quality compound professional talents for international economic and trade enterprises.

In the context of increasingly close global trade and the digital era, Nanjing, as a megacity in the Yangtze River Delta, is actively seizing the golden opportunity for the development of cross-border e-commerce and is committed to building a new highland for cross-border e-commerce. In the future, Nanjing will continue to uphold the concept of open cooperation and innovative development, continuously improve the level of cross-border e-commerce development, vigorously promote high-quality development and high-level opening of foreign trade, build a cross-border e-commerce center city with international influence, and continue to promote the agglomeration of cross-border e-commerce industries, improve the service matrix, and optimize the ecological system, so as to help enterprises "go overseas with confidence".
