The single-player action-adventure game "Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra" developed by Skydance New Media announced that it will be distributed by publisher Plaion. Plaion is affiliated with the Swedish game group Embracer Group, formerly Koch Media, which owns several game studios, such as: War Horse Studios ("Kingdom Come: Deliverance"), Flying Wild Hog ("Dark West"), etc.

“We are honored to be working with Skydance Games and industry legend Amy Hennig on one of the most anticipated AAA games out there,” said Plaion CEO Klemens Kundratitz in a press release. “This collaboration between these two ambitious independent companies is a testament to Plaion’s continued efforts to become a global force in video game publishing.”

Julian Beak, Co-President of Skydance Games, said: “We believe Plaion is the perfect partner for the global, multi-platform launch of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra. For our studio’s first title, we are creating an original Marvel story directed by Amy Hennig, and we are thrilled to have found a global publisher who shares our vision.”

"Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra" will be released in 2025 and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
