The sensor records the flight time of the light pulses, thereby calculating the distance to the object's surface and generating a three-dimensional model. Compared with 3D structured light, 3D Tof technology has more advantages in response speed.

At the system level, Huawei Mate 70 will be the first to be equipped with HarmonyOS NEXT, which can be understood as a pure-blooded version of Hongmeng. One of the biggest highlights is that the system base is fully self-developed, removing the traditional AOSP code and only supporting the Hongmeng kernel and Hongmeng system applications. Huawei can better manage various applications, and the fluency, security and other aspects will be significantly improved.
