IT Home reported on July 27 that technology media Android Authority released a correction blog post today (July 27), stating that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 phone supports DeX, but it is not the version that many users are accustomed to.

New DeX and Classic DeX

IT Home Note: In the One UI 6 system released by Samsung last year, the DeX interface of tablet devices was improved and "New DeX" was introduced. The original DeX is now renamed "Classic DeX" and users can switch according to their preferences.

The main change of "New DeX" is that the status bar and navigation bar are no longer merged, and many display zoom and accessory settings are deleted.

On the other hand, New DeX launches faster and also reuses the home screen layout and dock of the One UI Home launcher to make it easier to use.

According to feedback from Reddit community user klixa, after the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 is connected to the TV, a "Welcome to New DeX" window will pop up.
