IT Home reported on July 27 that at the ongoing NIO Innovation Technology Day, NIO announced that its world's first automotive-grade 5nm high-performance intelligent driving chip "NIO Shenji NX9031" was successfully taped out, marking that NIO has achieved independent design of hardware chips/underlying software.

According to reports, this chip has more than 50 billion transistors, adopts a 32-core CPU architecture, and has a built-in LPDDR5x 8533Mbps RAM, which can achieve "high dynamic range and high performance ISP".It has a pixel processing capacity of 6.5 G Pixel/s and a processing delay of less than 5ms.

IT Home noticed that the official conducted a real-life in-vehicle ISP processing demonstration on site. With the AI noise reduction algorithm and 26-bit bit width, it is said to provide the "highest dynamic range in the industry". It is said that when using the same specification 8MP in-vehicle camera, the imaging effect is "clearer than the "same specification industry flagship chip".

The official also took real photos at the press conference, demonstrating the chip's processing effect in low-light environments, and the details were more prominent than the "industry flagship chip of the same specification."
