“Pixel Screenshots” is basically similar to “Recall” in that it takes screenshots at regular intervals and stores them locally on the device, acting as a database for the AI.

Google wrote in the official introduction: "Pixel Screenshots helps you save information you want to remember later - such as events, places, etc. So you can find what you need immediately when you need it."

Google says Pixel Screenshots can help solve the following problems:

• Forget your girlfriend's favorite restaurant

• Forget the movies recommended by my girlfriend

• I forgot the show my girlfriend recommended.

• Forget what your girlfriend told you

Pixel Screenshots calls on local AI to summarize new and existing screenshots and answer your questions about the information in them.

These screenshots include cloud data from the user's old phone that is synchronized to their account, as well as new screenshots taken after the feature is turned on. Metadata such as web links, application names, and screenshot shooting times will be retained.
