[Global Network Technology Comprehensive Report] On July 26, LiDAR manufacturer Hesai Technology announced today that it has reached an important cooperation with SAIC-GM and will provide AT series automotive-grade long-range LiDAR for SAIC-GM's future models.

SAIC-GM plans to launch 12 new NEV models between 2024 and 2025, including the much-anticipated AUTO pure electric model and the new generation of PHEV plug-in hybrid model. In the wave of intelligent networking, SAIC-GM's new generation of super assisted driving system will be gradually applied to its various brands and models, and more advanced intelligent assisted driving functions will be launched to meet a wider range of usage scenarios.

Since Hesai Technology began mass production and delivery in 2022, its flagship product AT128 LiDAR has helped a number of popular passenger car models in the domestic new energy market to be successfully launched. As of the first quarter of 2024, the cumulative delivery volume has exceeded 350,000 units. In addition, Hesai Technology has also reached a LiDAR mass production cooperation with Chinese joint ventures of internationally renowned automobile brands such as Audi and Ford. The new cooperative models are expected to be mass-produced from 2025.

According to the latest financial report, in the first quarter of 2024, Hesai Technology achieved revenue of RMB 360 million, and the total delivery of LiDAR reached 59,101 units, a year-on-year increase of 69.7%. Among them, the delivery of ADAS products was 52,462 units, a year-on-year increase of 86.1%, and the combined gross profit margin of Robotaxi business and ADAS business reached 38.8%.
