【Pacific Technology News】Recently, Apple released the iOS 18 Developer Preview Beta 4 update, which brought many new features and improvements to iPhone users. In the latest iOS 18 Developer Preview Beta 4, Apple introduced the WLAN Calling feature for iPhone users. This feature allows users to make phone calls over a wireless LAN, improving the convenience of calls.

Users who have upgraded their devices to iOS 18 Beta 4 can find and enable the Wi-Fi calling function in "Settings" → "Cellular Network", and need to use a China Telecom card. However, this function is not yet available and needs to be further opened.

It is understood that this technology is not the first time it has appeared. China Telecom launched the VoWiFi service last year and achieved a breakthrough in "satellite + VoWiFi" in aviation scenarios this year.

In addition to the Wi-Fi calling feature, this update also includes several improvements, including adding wallpapers to CarPlay, optimizing the options in the Settings app, enhancing camera controls, and improving the design of hidden folders in the App Library.
