【Pacific Technology News】According to the latest news, Apple's upcoming iPhone SE4 will be equipped with an A18 Bionic chip and a 6.06-inch OLED screen, and is expected to be officially released in the first half of next year. This is a major shift in Apple's product strategy, allowing the SE series to adopt the latest chips ahead of the main series for the first time.

The iPhone 16 series will also be launched in the second half of next year, also equipped with the A18 Bionic chip. This is the first time in Apple's history that it has adopted the strategy of launching the SE series first and then the main series, which shows Apple's emphasis on the SE series.

Analysts pointed out that the main reason for the iPhone SE4 to upgrade directly to the A18 chip is to support Apple's latest personal intelligent system, Apple Intelligence. The system debuted at WWDC2024 this year, but currently only supports the A17 Pro chip, so that only iPhone15 Pro and iPhone15 Pro Max users can experience Apple's AI function.

Apple hopes to promote Apple Intelligence to more models, so it needs to use the latest flagship chip. This strategy enables the iPhone SE4 to have more powerful performance and adds Apple Intelligence, an important selling point.

In terms of price, the price of iPhone SE4 may increase from US$429 of the previous generation to US$499. However, according to the positioning of the SE series, SE4 is still Apple’s most cost-effective iPhone in 2025.
