At the [EVO2024] fighting tournament held last week, Daigo Umehara and Justin Wong, the creators of "The Last Stand" and the two protagonists of "Evo Moment #37", won the first "EVO Impact Award".

This award is an honorary award planned by EVO officials for players who have made contributions, impacts and influences to the fighting game community. It was awarded for the first time this year. EVO official Twitter also tweeted congratulations: "Some legends leave an impact that never fades. We are very honored to present this award to Justin Wong, the nine-time champion of 'EVO', in recognition of his achievements and contributions to the fighting game community."

Daigo Umehara also expressed his gratitude on his Twitter: "Thank you for the honor given by EVO officials. I will continue to work hard to have a greater influence in fighting games." Justin Wong also tweeted in response: "I can't believe it!"

"Evo Moment #37" happened at the [EVO2004] fighting competition. The two sides were Umehara Daigo, who used "Ken", and Justin, who used "Chun-Li". In the last round, Umehara Daigo perfectly blocked Chun-Li's special move "Phoenix Wing Fan" 14 attacks and completed the counterattack, which became one of the most classic scenes in the EVO event.
