The 2024 Valorant Global Championship will be held in Seoul, South Korea on August 1. This is the fourth global championship. Looking back at the previous three championships, let's take a look at the winning teams of the previous global championships.

2021 Berlin Global Championship

This was the first global championship, held in Berlin, Germany, and also had 16 teams participating.

Acend from the EMEA region made it all the way to the finals from the group stage and won the first Valorant Global Championship with an undefeated record!

The members of Acend at that time included BONECOLD (retired), cNed (now in FUT), Kiles (now in KPI, a secondary league team), starxo (now in KO1), and zeek (now in GN, a secondary league team).

Istanbul Global Championship 2022

In the second World Championship, EDG advanced from the East Asian qualifiers to the finals, and defeated the then Korean team ONS 3-0 to get the chance to advance to the championship. But EDG was miserable that year, failing to qualify from the group stage, and PRX, who was in the same group, also failed to qualify.

In that qualifying round, there was another Chinese team - KONE, but they failed at the door of the loser's bracket final and were defeated 2-1 by ONS.

The players who came out of KONG at that time included yosemite, Knight, LuoK1ng, etc., who are still active in the CN league.

Also participating in the championship was FPX, which won the Copenhagen Masters that year, but at that time FPX was composed entirely of foreign players.

That year, LOUD had the last laugh. They made it all the way from the winner's group to the finals and won the championship.

The members of LOUD at that time were pANcada (still in LOUD), Sacy (now in SEN), Saadhak (still in LOUD), aspas (now in LEV), and Less (still in LOUD).

2023 Los Angeles Global Championship

There are three teams from the CN region participating in this championship, namely EDG, BLG, and FPX.

FPX was eliminated directly in the group stage, while BLG and EDG advanced to the quarterfinals.

But neither BLG nor EDG could go far, and they even fell into the loser group together. One of them was sent to the next group in the brotherly battle, but in the end EDG was eliminated by LOUD.

That year, the "evil genius" EG defeated PRX in the final and won the championship.

The members of EG at that time included Boostio (now in 100T), Ethan (now in NRG), jawgemo (still in EG), C0M (now in LEV), and Demon1 (now a streamer in NRG).

Looking back at the three global championships, the winning teams were all subject to the "champion curse", and no team could escape the fate of separation after winning the championship.

Now that the 2024 Seoul Global Championship is approaching, of the last year's champions, only C0M is participating in this year's championship.

On August 1st, the 2024 Seoul Global Championship will begin!
