Larian Studios announced that the Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 7, which was originally scheduled to start closed testing today (July 23), will be postponed because the passive dice rolling function suddenly stopped working.

Passive dice rolling stopped working, resulting in players being unable to see deadly traps before they were triggered, and this was clearly a major issue that needed to be fixed urgently.

"The closed beta for patch 7 has been delayed," Larian explained on the official Twitter account. "While fixing the bug, the passive dice roll feature stopped working completely. We are trying to figure out why this happened, so we have to postpone the planned test until later this week."

This patch is expected to be released in September and includes thousands of fixes and optimizations, including updates to the split-screen mode, a new evil ending animation, a large number of bug fixes, and official mod tools. For the full announcement, please go to >>>
