In order to accelerate the promotion of new industrialization and help our province's manufacturing industry to climb higher and pursue innovation, the Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce recently held the fourth Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce Lecture Hall in 2024 in cooperation with GAC Aion and other units. Southern Finance All Media reporters learned that this event is themed "Technological innovation gathers momentum to promote the development of manufacturing industry", focusing on the security and competitiveness of Guangdong's manufacturing supply chain under the background of "dual carbon", helping companies to gain insight into the new market structure, new changes, and new trends, and promoting the upstream and downstream industrial chains to move forward in both directions with "new quality" and "high quality".

Yao Xinmin, Vice President of Guangdong Council for the Promotion of International Trade (Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce), mentioned that he hopes that enterprises will consolidate their foundation based on the real economy and manufacturing, continue to promote high-quality development, and encourage entrepreneurs present to accelerate the formation of digital, information-based, intelligent and green production methods, further enhance the security and competitiveness of the supply chain, and accelerate the pace of internationalization.

At the scene, representatives of member companies of the Guangdong International Chamber of Commerce participating in the conference visited the GAC Aion production line and GAC Research Institute, experienced the production model of "Made in China" and smart factories on site, learned about the most cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements and forward-looking designs in automobile manufacturing, learned about excellent corporate management concepts and management models, and analyzed the opportunities and challenges facing the new quality manufacturing industry.

At the forum, Xi Zhongmin, deputy general manager of GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co., Ltd., interpreted the current development of the new energy vehicle industry and future trends. "With the strong support of national policies, new energy vehicles have risen sharply after more than ten years of development. They are currently in a fiercely competitive 'Warring States Period', with multiple new energy technology routes running in parallel, supercharging and battery replacement competing, and ICV software and hardware fighting in multiple routes. In the future, policies will shift to dual carbon and environmental protection, and competition in the automotive industry will intensify. The upcoming competition is 'technology + cost + ecology'," said Xi Zhongmin.

It is reported that GAC Aion has grown into a global leader in new energy vehicles in seven years, which is inseparable from the top-level design of digital transformation. "GAC Aion's factory has successfully used automation technology for lean manufacturing, information algorithms for preventive maintenance, and digital factories for data analysis." However, Xi Zhongmin also said that the development of advanced deep learning algorithms for autonomous decision-making has entered a bottleneck period in the industry, and the support of the state and scientific research institutions is needed to complete the last link of digital intelligent manufacturing - the use of intelligence for predictive maintenance.
