On July 22, the wind power sector rose abnormally, Haiguo Co., Ltd. (301063.SZ) hit the 20CM daily limit, Jixing Technology (601218.SH) and Tianshun Wind Energy (002531.SZ) hit the 10CM daily limit, and Haili Wind Power (301155.SZ) rose by more than 9%.

On the news front, the world's largest single-unit wind turbine recently started generating electricity in Yingkou, Liaoning, laying the foundation for the subsequent mass installation and application of large-capacity offshore wind turbines.

Large-capacity offshore wind power construction is accelerating

On July 19, the world's largest single-unit wind turbine started generating electricity in Yingkou, Liaoning. The wind turbine will form a multi-energy complementary mode with the photovoltaic and thermal power units in the factory to provide safe and stable power output for the power grid.

According to the project's party, Huaneng Group, this wind turbine can generate 44 degrees of electricity per rotation at full wind speed. The unit can output 74 million degrees of clean electricity per year, which can meet the annual electricity needs of 40,000 households. This is equivalent to saving 25,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 61,000 tons each year, with obvious energy-saving and emission-reduction effects.

It is understood that the localization rate of this "giant" machine exceeds 99%. At full wind speed, it can generate 18,000 degrees of clean electricity per hour. Compared with the 8-megawatt wind turbine with the largest single-unit capacity currently in operation in Liaoning, the power generation can be increased by 125%. The next step will be to install and apply it in batches in offshore wind farms.

In recent years, the development of large-capacity offshore wind turbines has accelerated in my country. In Lingao, Hainan, a batch of domestically developed 10-megawatt wind turbines are being installed. A single wind turbine can generate about 10,000 degrees of electricity per hour, which can meet the daily electricity needs of about 1,400 ordinary households.

In the waters of eastern Guangdong, the largest single offshore wind power project has 54 11MW large-capacity wind turbines, which can generate 2 billion kWh of clean electricity per year. In the waters of Zhangpu, Fujian, my country's first offshore wind farm that uses all 13MW and above ultra-large single-unit wind turbines has mass-produced 6 16MW offshore wind turbines.

As my country's offshore wind power construction continues to move towards deep waters and offshore, it faces challenges such as more complex construction conditions and greater construction difficulty. The construction costs of wind turbine towers, foundation construction and other projects have increased. Large-capacity wind turbines will be more conducive to reducing the cost per kilowatt and improving the level of project revenue. This is an important trend in the development of deep-sea offshore wind power.

Industry insiders said that the large-scale offshore wind turbines are the most important driving force for reducing the cost of offshore wind power. It reduces the cost of foundations, construction costs, and uses more advanced technology. In the past 10 years, China's offshore wind power costs have been reduced by 60%.

It is expected that in the next three years, 10MW onshore wind turbines will be put into mass production, and the capacity of offshore wind turbines will reach more than 20MW. The research and development of cutting-edge offshore wind power technologies represented by floating wind turbines will continue to be strengthened, and small-scale applications are expected to be achieved. The innovation capacity of wind power technology continues to increase, and the capacity of wind turbines will continue to increase.

Domestic enterprises continue to achieve breakthroughs

All regions have accelerated the planning and deployment of offshore wind power, and offshore wind power has shown a rapid development trend. As the main battlefield for future offshore wind power development, the strategic value of deep sea is increasingly highlighted.

Located in Ningbo, Dongfang Cable has always attached great importance to offshore wind power construction and actively participated in it. The company is a core supplier of Chinese submarine and land cables. For many years, it has been in the leading position in the industry in terms of scientific and technological innovation, quality management, and core technology breakthroughs. It has been awarded the title of "Top 10 Most Competitive Enterprises in China's Cable Industry" for three consecutive years, and was rated as a "National Green Factory" and selected as one of the "First Eagle Enterprises in Zhejiang Province".

After years of technological research and development and accumulation, Oriental Cable has developed products and solutions such as deep-sea umbilical cables and dynamic cable system solutions, ultra-high voltage cables and submarine cable system solutions.

As a leader in submarine cables, Oriental Cable has mastered core technologies such as ultra-deep water and dynamic design, and has formed a full-life cycle overall solution including customized design, production, testing, integration, laying, operation and maintenance in the field of marine umbilical cables and dynamic cable systems, injecting new impetus into my country's comprehensive advancement of deep-sea energy development.

In addition, Oriental Cable has also been deeply engaged in the fields of large-scale concentrated development of offshore wind power and large-capacity sea and land power transmission. Relying on independent research and development and scientific research cooperation, it has the design, manufacturing and engineering service capabilities of high-end energy equipment such as 500kV AC sea and land cable systems and ±535kV DC sea and land cable systems, providing strong support for the country's development of the marine economy, development of clean energy, and realization of the "30▪60" dual carbon goals as soon as possible.

In addition to Oriental Cable, companies such as Daikin Heavy Industries, Taisheng Wind Energy, and Jinlei Co., Ltd. are also constantly achieving technological breakthroughs in the wind power field and are fully exploring new paths to achieve the "dual carbon" goals.
