Specifically, the platform will provide merchants with overseas postage subsidies to directly realize free shipping for overseas consumers. This means that Taobao's clothing merchants can sell goods to other countries and regions around the world based on their existing Taobao Tmall stores without opening another store.

It is understood that the project has already started recruiting merchants. In addition to conventional men's and women's clothing, merchants of broad fashion categories in overseas markets such as sports and outdoor clothing, shoes and bags, accessories, children's clothing and shoes can sign up to participate in Taobao's plan.

A relevant person in charge of Taotian Group revealed that the first phase of the project will cover Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea and other Asian regions, and will expand from Asia to Australia by the end of the year. In this project, merchants have independent pricing and goods rights, and do not need to consider cross-border logistics. After receiving orders from overseas consumers, they only need to send the goods to domestic shipping warehouses.
