Maxim DranichinMaxim Dranitsin is a Russian painter known for his unique artistic style and deep emotional expression. He was born in Murmansk in northern Russia in 1974 and now lives and works in Vilnius (Lithuania), where he continues his artistic creation.


Dranichin's artistic journey began at the Ivanovo Art School, where he studied from 1990 to 1994. He then graduated from the Oryol Art Academy in Russia in 2000, attending masterclasses to further hone his artistic skills and vision.


In 2001, he was awarded a scholarship from the United States-Soviet Trade and Economic Council (USTEC), an honor that marked an important milestone in his artistic career. In 2005, he joined the Russian Union of Artists, further consolidating his position in the art world. In 2010, he was elected to the Board of Directors of the Murmansk Chapter of the Russian Union of Artists, reflecting his reputation and influence among his peers.


Since 1995, Dranichin has actively participated in exhibitions of all sizes, including city, regional, all-Russian and international exhibitions, totaling about 80, of which more than 30 were solo exhibitions. His works have been acclaimed not only in Russia, but also on international stages such as in Vadso, Norway and Vilnius, Lithuania.


His artistic achievements have been recognized by several awards: the ASTES Award (2001), the Murmansk Mayor's Award (2004), the Murmansk Region Governor's Award (2010), and his international presence has been recognized by a scholarship from the Norwegian High North AiR Network in 2014 and a scholarship from the Russian Ministry of Culture in 2016.


Dranicin’s works are in museums and private collections around the world. Institutions such as the Vyatka Art Museum and the Regional Art Museum have his works in their collections. In addition, his works are in private collections in Norway, Ukraine, Finland, Serbia, Japan, Italy, Canada, Montenegro and Lithuania.


Dranichin's artistic inspiration comes from the impressions he and his wife Anastasia Bereza collected during countless travels. These travels not only enrich his life experience, but also provide a constant source of inspiration for his artistic creation.
