According to Electric Home News, on the morning of July 22, Xiaopeng Motors and Volkswagen Group jointly announced that following the signing of a strategic cooperation plan for electronic and electrical architecture technology, they further signed a strategic cooperation and joint development agreement for electronic and electrical architecture technology. Both parties will devote their full efforts to developing industry-leading electronic and electrical architectures for Volkswagen's CMP and MEB platforms produced in China.

According to the cooperation agreement, the two parties have established a joint development project team in Guangzhou and Hefei, and engineers from both sides will work closely together to accelerate the development of the electronic and electrical architecture. Based on this, the first model equipped with the electronic and electrical architecture jointly developed by the two parties is expected to be mass-produced within 24 months. In addition, according to this joint development agreement, Xiaopeng Motors and Volkswagen Group will actively explore opportunities for further cooperation to expand the application scope of the electronic and electrical architecture jointly developed by the two parties. The two parties reached a consensus on promoting strategic cooperation in electronic and electrical architecture, and hope to further strengthen their strategic partnership.

On July 18, according to Electric Home, an automotive industry insider revealed on Weibo that hundreds of Volkswagen engineers have moved into the Guangzhou Xiaopeng Motors headquarters, which means that the technical cooperation between Volkswagen and Xiaopeng Motors has been fully upgraded. The insider quoted the information from the source as saying that "the coverage of both parties is very wide, and the depth of cooperation is unprecedented. ()

However, the post was deleted soon after. The power plant contacted Xiaopeng Motors, and its public relations department declined to comment on the relevant information, but said that details of further cooperation between Volkswagen and Xiaopeng will be disclosed next week.
