GameSpot review:

Flintlock: Siege of Dawn isn't the kind of game you'll see a ton of different structures. It's a streamlined action-RPG with some Souls-like elements thrown in, with hyper-mobile combat and moves that aren't too punishing being the main style. It has its faults, from failing to expand on a premise that's only interesting on paper to featuring a daunting weapon upgrade system and some imprecise combat. It probably won't stay in your mind for long, but for now, Flintlock: Siege of Dawn is a good, exhilarating game that will likely appeal to newcomers and old Souls fans alike. Hopefully more games will take a cue from its unusual approach.
