It is reported that the financing will be used to improve Hubble Seed's rice biological breeding technology level, accelerate the pace of industrialization of bred varieties, and play a role in improving the quality and efficiency of rice production.

According to the information, Wuxi Hubble Biological Seed Technology Research Institute Co., Ltd. was established in August 2013 by Dr. Shu Qingyao, a former technical officer of the International Atomic Energy Agency and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, and a group of well-known biotechnology and rice breeding experts. After more than 10 years of innovation and research, Hubble Seed has formed strong technical advantages in rice haploid breeding and molecular marker-assisted selection breeding.
