New information has surfaced related to the unreleased Pixel 9 series. 9to5Google performed an APK teardown of the latest Google app beta (version 15.28) and found that it mentioned the Gemini premium subscription plan for the upcoming devices.

The media found several strings and references such as "Pixel Pro" and "P9" in the code of the app, suggesting that Google may provide different durations of free Gemini Advanced subscriptions for different models of Pixel 9. The strings found are as follows

Get a year of Gemini Premium and Pixel for freeGet 6 months of Pixel Gemini Premium for free Your Pixel gets you a free 6-month subscription to Gemini Premium, our most powerful AI model, and priority access to new features.

Therefore, it is reasonable to guess that the search giant may offer a one-year Gemini Advanced subscription service to users who purchase the Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, or Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Meanwhile, the cheaper entry-level Pixel 9 is expected to get 6 months of Gemini Advanced.

The Gemini Premium Edition is part of the Google One AI Premium Edition, which comes with 2TB of cloud storage, Gemini across Google applications, and early access to new features. However, this move by the search engine company is not a sudden whim. Previously, Google had bundled the Gemini Premium Edition with the Pixel 8/8Pro for four months.

Google's Pixel 9 series is set to be officially unveiled next month, and several pieces of information have allegedly leaked. These include the new pill-shaped camera bump, benchmark results, European pricing details, and color options.

The smartphone series is expected to use Samsung's M14 OLED panel and was reportedly launched in Algeria earlier this month. A recently exposed FCC certification confirmed the naming of the Pixel 9 series, while a TikTok video compared the Pixel 9 series with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
