July 15: Following the failed assassination attempt on U.S. presidential candidate Donald Trump last weekend, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said he himself had suffered two assassination attempts in recent months.

Musk publicly expressed his hope for Trump's "speedy recovery" after he was shot in the ear at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, and spoke about his own experience with the attack. Musk wrote that two men had tried to kill him in the past eight months, both of whom had been captured about 20 minutes from Tesla's Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, and were carrying guns.
