The three major U.S. stock indexes closed higher on July 15, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average standing above 40,000 points, a record high. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 210.82 points, or 0.53%, to 40,211.72 points; the Nasdaq rose 74.12 points, or 0.40%, to 18,472.57 points; and the S&P 500 rose 15.87 points, or 0.28%, to 5,631.22 points.

Most large technology stocks rose, with Tesla, Apple, and Netflix up more than 1%, Microsoft and Google up slightly, and Nvidia, Amazon, and Meta down slightly. Among them, Apple's stock price hit a new record closing high, with a total market value of $3.59 trillion.

Popular Chinese stocks fell across the board, with the Nasdaq China Golden Dragon Index falling 3.64%. Baidu fell nearly 6%, iQiyi, JD.com, and Bilibili fell more than 5%, Xpeng Motors, Weibo, and Weilai fell more than 4%, Li Auto and Pinduoduo fell more than 3%, Vipshop and Alibaba fell more than 2%, and Tencent Music and Futu Holdings fell more than 1%. NetEase rose slightly.
