The latest data from the official website of the National Equities Exchange and Quotation System shows that as of the end of the first half of 2024, a total of 250 companies are queuing up to apply for listing on the New Third Board (excluding those "terminated"), which is a doubling of the 100 companies in the same period last year.

The Shanghai Securities News reporter noted that among the 250 companies mentioned above, 241 were accepted this year, and 191 companies were accepted in June alone. Most of the applicants are from strategic emerging industries and advanced manufacturing industries such as new materials, information technology, and equipment manufacturing, and their "specialization, precision, and innovation" attributes are prominent.

At the same time, the integrated development of the Beijing Stock Exchange and the New Third Board has maintained a good momentum. In the first half of this year, a total of 112 companies were successfully listed on the New Third Board, of which more than half of the companies entered the innovation layer, and many companies are already in the stage of listing guidance on the Beijing Stock Exchange. Industry insiders believe that from the New Third Board to the Beijing Stock Exchange, a unique capital market development path has been opened up for innovative high-tech SMEs that are "earlier, smaller and newer", and the innovation layer companies with high profitability and high growth characteristics have further strengthened the "reserve army" lineup of the Beijing Stock Exchange.
