IT Home reported on July 15 that last weekend, an assassination attempt was made on US presidential candidate Donald Trump. Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that he himself had also suffered two assassination attempts in recent months.

Trump was shot in the ear at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last Saturday. Musk publicly expressed his hope for Trump's "speedy recovery" and talked about his own experience with the attack.

Musk wrote that two men had tried to kill him in separate incidents over the past eight months and that both men had been captured about 20 minutes from Tesla's Gigafactory in Austin, Texas, and were armed with guns.

IT Home noted that Musk also mentioned this situation when asked by a shareholder at Tesla's recent annual shareholder meeting how to ensure his safety and how to take care of himself as a high-profile figure. He responded that he understood the concerns of shareholders and once again emphasized the severity of the current situation.

"I mean, it's a little crazy right now," Musk said. "Roughly speaking,The likelihood that a murderer will try to kill you is proportional to the number of murderers who have heard your name.Well, they hear my name a lot, so I'm like, 'OK, I must be on their list'. Yeah, there have been two homicidal maniacs who have wanted to kill me and other people in the last seven months or so. So it's not just me. They haven't come up with any specific motive, they just want to kill people, so I do need to be careful."

After the attack on Trump, Musk formally announced his support for Trump as the next president of the United States, adding that he believed "the last candidate in the United States who was this tough was Theodore Roosevelt."
