it is reported that the navy’s 2025 recruitment and selection work continues to focus onhigh school graduateandfresh undergraduates from colleges and universities、master's degree graduatesthe selection of carrier-based aircraft pilot students shall be carried out in accordance with the procedures of initial inspection, pre-selection, full inspection, approval and admission.

from mid-october to early november, the navy set up stations in six provinces: shandong, henan, jiangsu, anhui, jiangxi, and hunan to organize on-site high school graduates to conduct preliminary inspections. high school graduates from other provinces and fresh graduates from local colleges and universities will conduct preliminary inspections on-site. starting from today, online registration can be done through the navy recruitment network.

navy recruitment for 2025 is inselection meanssuperior,continue to highlight flight ability screening. fresh graduates from local colleges and universities who participate in the pilot recruitment selection must participate in aerial screening flights after passing the full examination. military and civilian flight experts will screen the candidates for their flying potential.

in this year’s brochure for recruiting and selecting pilot cadets, the navy hasmedical identification standards have been adjusted，relaxed ophthalmology-related standards,it is clear that those who have undergone vision correction surgery can be selected as naval pilots:

restrictions on eye refractive correction surgery are conditionally relaxed. recruitment candidates with relevant surgical history must be at least 18 years old when undergoing corneal refractive surgery. the surgical method is non-flap surgery, and they must have participated in the recruitment physical examination for 6 months. above, the preoperative myopia does not exceed 400 degrees, the astigmatism does not exceed 100 degrees, the postoperative uncorrected distance visual acuity is not less than 1.0, and there are original and complete medical records (including preoperative examination and corneal refractive surgery medical records of laser surgical cutting parameters).

this means that aspiring young people who love national defense and are committed to the sea and air are expected to become military aircraft pilots after undergoing vision correction surgery.
