the yau shing tong girls' middle school mathematics competition is hosted by the shing tong yau mathematical science center of tsinghua university and supported by the china children and teenagers foundation affiliated to the all-china women's federation and the tencent charity foundation. this competition will award several gold, silver and bronze medals and several winning prizes based on performance, and give corresponding rewards.

competition format and scope

the competition consists of a written examination and an interview. the scope of examination includes: all contents of middle school mathematics, calculus, linear algebra, and basic concepts of groups and group effects.

in order to further respond to the national talent training needs, improve middle school students' understanding of mathematics, stimulate and enhance middle school students' interest in mathematics-related subject research, and promote the cultivation of top innovative talents in basic subjects, the department of mathematical sciences of tsinghua university, zhili college and xingjian college have decided to atoctober 18-20, 2024jointly organize a national mathematics experience camp for outstanding middle school students.

registration conditions

1. outstanding middle school students who have qualified to participate in this year’s mathematics olympiad winter camp;

2. outstanding middle school students who won the first prize in this year’s national high school mathematics league.

registration method

students who meet the registration requirements should apply atbefore 24:00 on october 12, 2024log in to the registration platform (http://admission.join-tsinghua.edu.cn), select the corresponding project to register, and submit registration materials as required.

activity review

the expert group will conduct a preliminary review of the materials of students who meet the registration requirements and complete the registration. the results of the preliminary review are expected to be announced on the registration platform on october 15. students who pass the preliminary examination should print the "registration card" in time.
