beijing business news (reporter lin yuwei) on october 1, beijing time, luxury goods group lvmh announced the sale of the trendy brand off-white to the brand management company bluestar alliance. the two parties did not disclose the details of the transaction. bluestar alliance manages and sells a portfolio of consumer brands, including hurley, scotch & soda, bebe, elie tahari, catherine malandrino and nanette lepore.

off-white was founded in 2012 by the late designer virgil abloh, who joined lvmh group in 2018 as the creative director of louis vuitton brand men's wear. three years later, in 2021, lvmh group announced a majority stake in off-white equity to 60%.
