it house news on october 1, german technology media winfuture published a blog post yesterday (september 30), reporting that qualcomm is developing a new snapdragon x series chip sc8480xp, with the internal code name project glymur.

it house quoted the media report that in qualcomm's plan, sc8480xp is the next generation of high-end "snapdragon x2 cpu", which uses arm architecture and focuses on mobility and energy efficiency. it will compete with apple's m series after it is launched.

reports indicate that qualcomm has been testing the sc8480xp since july 2024, but there is still little information about its features, and more information is not expected to be unlocked until 2025.
