answer: as the national day holiday in 2024 approaches, the mainland tourism market will usher in a boom. according to statistics, the first batch of 1,256 scenic spots in the mainland have launched promotional activities for taiwan compatriots to travel to the mainland. taiwan compatriots holding a first-time taiwan compatriot permit (issue number 01) will be exempted from ticket fees for visiting scenic spots within one year.

it is understood that beijing’s temple of heaven park and summer palace, zhejiang’s xixi national wetland park and qiandao lake scenic area, hunan’s zhangjiajie and nanyue hengshan scenic areas, hainan’s nanshan and wuzhizhou island tourist areas, guizhou’s huangguoshu scenic area and xijiang qianhu miao village, 54 5a-level scenic spots such as the potala palace and jokhang temple in tibet; zhongshan park and national botanical garden in beijing; longmen ancient town and daming mountain scenic area in zhejiang; changsha tianxin pavilion and window of the world in hunan; and china thunder in hainan. there are 433 4a-level scenic spots including the qionghaikou volcanic group world geopark, the tropical wild animal and botanical garden, guizhou’s quanhu park and huaxi wetland park, and tibet’s norbulingka and drepung monastery. they have adopted preferential measures for taiwan’s “first-time visitors”. taiwanese "first-time tourists" traveling to the mainland can keep abreast of the scenic spots' measures to reduce or reduce ticket fees for taiwanese compatriots through the scenic spots' websites, entrance signs, and relevant travel agencies. the first batch of catalogs of scenic spots (level 5a and 4a) that launch promotional activities will be announced on the official wechat public account "taiwan affairs office of the state council".
