from september 28th to 29th, the qingdao regional selection competition for the 2024 "fly to beijing - fly to space" national youth aerospace model education competition (uav project) was held at qingdao (south of the city) hisense school.
this competition is sponsored by qingdao science and technology association, qingdao education bureau, qingdao sports bureau, and hosted by qingdao science and technology museum and qingdao youth science and technology center.
this competition invited lai jianqing, the chief referee of the national youth aerospace model education competition, to serve as technical guidance for the competition, which improved the refereeing level of this competition. a total of 592 primary and secondary students from shinan, shibei, licang, chengyang, jimo, west coast, jiaozhou, pingdu, laixi and bureau-affiliated schools participated in the competition. the competition includes multi-axis drone racing (80 brushless group), multi-axis drone racing (70 hollow cup group), multi-axis drone obstacle flight (120 hollow cup), and multi-axis drone missions flying (65 hollow cups), multi-axis drone fancy flying (125 hollow cups), multi-axis drone football (3v3 200 hollow cups set), multi-axis drone fixed-point delivery flight, multi-axis drone programming fly 8 events.
at the competition site, the young players held their breath and concentrated on controlling the drones flexibly, taking off, hovering, dodging flexibly, or flying up and down on the field. each player was full of energy and went all out, perfectly demonstrating their usual training results and demonstrating a positive competition atmosphere.
as a good carrier of quality education, drone sports can not only allow young people to understand more about aviation science and technology, but also cultivate their hands-on ability and problem-solving ability. the holding of this competition has set up a stage for young people to learn skills, display and communicate, and also injected vitality into the development of science and technology education in qingdao.
