on the afternoon of september 23, the 13th china-eu regional policy cooperation high-level dialogue was held at the national development and reform commission. guo lanfeng, member of the party leadership group of the commission, attended the meeting and held a working meeting with elisa ferreira, commissioner for cohesion of the european commission, and listened to the introduction of cooperation in case regions such as tianjin, guangzhou and suzhou. tuo yaohui, ambassador of the european union to china, attended the meeting.

guo lanfeng said that the china-eu regional policy cooperation mechanism is an important part of the china-eu comprehensive strategic partnership. since the establishment of the mechanism in 2006, the two sides have strengthened experience exchange, regional visits and case cooperation, and achieved fruitful results. it is hoped that this high-level dialogue will be used as an opportunity to jointly promote a new round of practical cooperation in case regions and continuously expand new areas and new space for china-eu regional policy cooperation.

elisa ferreira said that china's achievements in regional coordinated development are remarkable. she is willing to continue to promote china-eu regional policy cooperation, deepen the connection between the eu's cohesion policy and china's major regional strategies, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation in the fields of revitalization and development of underdeveloped regions and governance of large cities.

after the meeting, guo lanfeng and elisa ferreira signed the "action plan on comprehensively deepening china-eu regional policy cooperation (2024-2028) between the national development and reform commission of the people's republic of china and the directorate-general for regional and urban policy of the european commission" on behalf of their respective departments.
