guangdong is a major nuclear power province. it is expected that by the end of the 14th five-year plan, the province's operating nuclear power installed capacity will reach 18.5 million kilowatts, and the installed capacity under construction will exceed 10 million kilowatts. the rapid development of the nuclear energy industry has brought greater challenges to guangdong's nuclear safety management and put forward higher requirements for guangdong's nuclear emergency response capabilities. in order to improve management efficiency and achieve unified rights and responsibilities, the regulations will further clarify the powers and responsibilities, clarify the specific matters of nuclear emergency response capacity building and emergency exercises in prefectures and cities, and make relevant provisions for the storage of nuclear emergency materials in guangdong province.
