recently, a group of experts from fuzhou city's community education and senior citizen education visited guiyang city to conduct an in-depth investigation into senior citizen education, learning community construction and other work.
the two-day investigation was led by zhang lanying, vice president of fuzhou vocational and technical college and member of the fuzhou community university school affairs committee. the investigation team consisted of 14 people from the fuzhou education bureau, the municipal bureau of justice, the municipal party committee veteran cadre bureau, the municipal people's congress standing committee, the municipal senior university, fuzhou vocational and technical college and teachers from fujian normal university. they visited the longchang street community school in xiuwen county, the mingzhu elderly assistance society in century city street, guanshanhu district, and the guanshanhu district senior university to fully understand guiyang's practices and experiences in elderly education and learning community construction.

at the longchang subdistrict community school in xiuwen county, the research team carefully inspected the school's teaching facilities and teaching activities. in the experience sharing session, the longchang subdistrict community school introduced in detail the school's philosophy, main measures and highlights. the research team highly praised the work of longchang subdistrict community education and expressed that it would learn from its excellent experience to improve the quality and level of fuzhou community education and better meet the learning needs of residents.
at the mingzhu elderly care society in century city street, the research team visited various function rooms in the activity center. through the honor wall, information display, graphic layout and the elderly team, they deeply felt the results of elderly education. they gave thumbs up and highly recognized guiyang's elderly education and mingzhu team. before leaving, the research team and the elderly waved the five-star red flag together and sang "singing the motherland", and the passionate singing echoed over the community.
after bidding farewell to mingzhu elderly care society, the research team came to guanshanhu district senior citizens university, where they gained a deeper understanding of the working methods of senior education through exchanges and field visits. they said they would learn from these practices and promote the standardized construction of schools and innovate practices in accordance with the purpose of "the elderly have something to teach, the elderly have something to learn, the elderly have something to enjoy, and the elderly have something to contribute" to ensure the orderly progress of senior education.
at the subsequent symposium on senior citizen education and community education, the relevant person in charge of guiyang university for the aged introduced the progress of guiyang's senior citizen education and shared six aspects of experience in implementing the "guizhou province senior citizen education regulations". the relevant person in charge of guiyang open university elaborated on the development and achievements of guiyang's learning community work from ten aspects, and analyzed the existing problems and future work plans. the two sides also conducted in-depth discussions on issues related to senior citizen education legislation.
