recently, an art exhibition with the theme of "calligraphy of the great age and painting of the central axis" opened in beijing tianding 218 cultural and financial park. more than 120 works of art, calligraphy and seal carving created by the majority of artists in dongcheng district were exhibited, especially the works with the theme of the central axis, which were quite eye-catching. citizens can visit for free.
tianding 218 cultural and financial park is located at no. 16, zhushikou east street. it was originally the 218th weapon factory. it was transformed and upgraded into tianding 218 cultural and financial park in 2019. because it was originally built with soviet aid, the roof of the park retains a total of 56 arc-shaped domes, eight horizontally and seven vertically, which is spectacular when viewed from a high altitude. this exhibition was held in the lobby of the main building of the park.
the hall is spacious and bright, and the huge chinese painting "the splendor of the central axis" "flows" down from the high stairs. from 2022 to 2024, the creation of the work took three years and three revisions. the author measured the central axis of beijing with his footsteps, and used a brush to record the central axis of the four seasons, creating a huge chinese painting "the splendor of the central axis". the painting is 7.8 meters high and 2 meters wide, presenting the four seasons of the central axis one by one. the author uses freehand brushwork and heavy colors to skillfully combine the architecture of the central axis with the natural landscape, creating a grand and magnificent artistic atmosphere.
on the walls on both sides of the hall, other literary and artistic works are equally wonderful. chai jingjin's traditional chinese painting "walking west" is full of historical charm and cultural heritage. the work is based on the story of people from shanxi, shaanxi and other places "going west" in the early qing dynasty. the characters in the painting are either carrying bags or helping the old and the young. the author uses delicate brushstrokes to show the indomitable and pioneering spirit.
rui dequn's traditional chinese painting "a panoramic view of the central axis" takes the theme of beijing's central axis. from the perspective of beijingers, the author cleverly integrates the historical glory of beijing's central axis and uses yuan blue and white porcelain to carry beijing's 800-year history as a capital. the viewer's line of sight extends from the window, and iconic buildings such as zhengyangmen, tiananmen square, and the forbidden city are displayed in turn, highlighting the cultural context of the ancient capital.
