on june 26 this year, at the second "belt and road" international skills competition, li pingwu won the gold medal in the automotive technology (new energy) project, ushering in the "highlight moment" of his life.
li pingwu is a trial engineer at saic-gm-wuling automobile co., ltd. and the only guangxi player in the chinese team. this is the first time that new energy vehicle technology has been showcased on the international stage. a total of 16 senior mechanical and electrical maintenance workers from automobile maintenance companies from national teams participated in the competition.

in 2020, after graduating from northeast forestry university, li pingwu was first responsible for the trial production equipment modification and test bench design work in the testing and certification department of the company's technical center, which is the base of the new energy vehicle laboratory of saic-gm-wuling automobile co., ltd. at present, he is mainly responsible for the trial production assembly process and debugging business.
since he started working, li pingwu has actively participated in the company's and department's craftsman training, plc industrial control and networking, and automotive electronic control system learning, and has continuously studied the development and production process of prototypes, process writing, tooling development and design, and automotive electrical diagnostics knowledge; he has participated in the global organization's cooperation to build convertible folding mechanism performance testing, esc hardware-in-the-loop test bench, unmanned sweeper control system and other projects; he has led the development of assembly line diagnostic configuration tools, cnc plasma cutting design and other 6 innovative projects. through the accumulation of one project after another, he has been exposed to more and more new energy vehicle intelligent technologies, and the seeds of innovation and creation have gradually taken root in his heart, thriving in the tempering.
li pingwu admitted that compared with theoretical research, he would rather do some technologies and products that are close to life and can be put into practice. in recent years, he is willing to explore automotive technology and has won many awards in professional skills competitions at various levels, and has won honorary titles such as the guangxi may 1st labor medal and guangxi technical expert.
