the indictment alleges that after submitting the divorce application, zhao liuchao repeatedly used telephone threats and other means to force the victim to meet with him, and threatened to kill his family.

zhou mouxia's relatives said that on july 20, 2023, zhao liuchao asked zhou mouxia to meet again, "with a very tough attitude." zhou mouxia called the police because she was worried that zhao liuchao would be violent, but zhao liuchao was unwilling to go to the police station. at that time, zhao liuchao insisted on meeting and said, "apologize to each other, admit your mistakes, and don't divorce." under the threat of zhao liuchao, zhou mouxia agreed to meet.

regarding the incident, the indictment alleges that on the evening of july 20, 2023, zhou mouxia, in order to prevent being hurt by zhao liuchao, went to the agreed location with her relatives and friends at the gate of an industrial park on cuiyuan road, liwan district, guangzhou city to wait for zhao liuchao. at about 11 o'clock that night, zhao liuchao drove an electric car to the place, got off the car and walked straight to zhou mouxia, but was stopped by zhou mouxia's relatives and friends. zhao liuchao then stabbed zhou mouxia's relatives and friends in the vital parts of their upper body with a sharp knife he carried with him, causing many injuries. zhou mouxia immediately fled upon seeing this, and zhao liuchao immediately chased zhou mouxia with a knife. during this period, zhou mouxia fell to the ground, and zhao liuchao stabbed her upper body and other vital parts with a knife. he was stopped and could not continue to harm. afterwards, zhao liuchao was pressed to the ground, during which he still resisted fiercely, stabbing with a knife at will, intending to continue the crime. zhou mouxia died on the spot after being stabbed.
