at the fifth meeting of the beijing-hong kong cooperation conference held last year, beijing and hong kong signed the "memorandum of understanding of the fifth beijing-hong kong cooperation conference", which clearly identified scientific and technological innovation as one of the key areas of cooperation. beijing and hong kong are both regional central cities with strong influence, and each has its own advantages in "going global".
at the meeting, liu meiying, deputy secretary-general of the beijing municipal government, and sun dong, director of the innovation, technology and industry bureau of the hong kong special administrative region government, respectively delivered speeches on collaborative innovation between beijing and hong kong, industrial collaboration, and the joint construction of a beijing-hong kong science and technology collaborative innovation platform. they encouraged and supported enterprises to expand overseas market channels by pooling scientific and technological resources from both places and hosting international brand events, continuously deepen cooperation, and drive product services, technologies, brands and standards to the world.
the event invited relevant departments of the hong kong sar government and key industrial parks to elaborate on measures to serve mainland enterprises in "going global". the beijing intellectual property office gave a keynote speech on measures to support the international development of innovative enterprises, closely following the development needs of intellectual property rights in beijing and hong kong.

since the 20th beijing-hong kong fair in 2016 first proposed to encourage enterprises in the two places to "go out to sea together", the two places have been closely linked, and industrial cooperation and project docking have achieved remarkable results.
