on the morning of september 20, a farewell ceremony and pre-departure training for the first batch of youth from our province going to singapore for internship and exchange was held at jinan technician college. five outstanding students will go to the ritz-carlton hotel singapore for a six-month internship and exchange. this is also the first time that shandong province has participated in the youth international internship and exchange program.
the youth international internship and exchange program is a youth international internship cooperation project carried out between the chinese government and the governments of relevant countries. it aims to enrich the professional experience of young people, deepen mutual recognition and understanding, enhance the friendship between the two peoples, and strengthen bilateral cultural exchanges and cooperation. at present, my country has signed and implemented the program with three countries: france, germany and singapore. in october 2019, my country and singapore signed the "agreement on the youth internship and exchange program" with a quota of up to 500 interns per year, mainly full-time students from universities, higher vocational colleges, technician colleges, and advanced technical schools.
jinan human resources and social security bureau and jinan technician college actively cooperated and made careful preparations. after multiple rounds of selection, they recommended and determined 5 outstanding students to participate in this internship exchange, and made preparations for pre-training in oral english, international etiquette, etc. the internship exchange unit, singapore ritz-carlton hotel, is very consistent with jinan technician college's specialty majors such as cooking and chinese and western pastries.
at the farewell ceremony, relevant responsible persons from the ministry of human resources and social security presented the flag to the young people who were about to go to singapore for internship and exchange. relevant responsible persons from the singapore embassy in china and the national talent mobility center conducted pre-departure training for the students.
