recently, chaolai green home property management center in laiguangying, chaoyang district, beijing, successfully completed the acceptance of 36 elevators installed in three residential areas, guanghuaju, yingqiuyuan, and yunshiyuan, and all of them will be put into use by the end of september. so far, the installation of 290 elevators in four residential areas of chaolai green home in laiguangying has been successfully completed.
it is understood that chaolai green home is a relocation housing for those in green isolation areas, including four residential areas: laichunyuan, guanghuaju, yingqiuyuan and yunshiyuan. among them, 56 buildings with 290 unit doors are multi-storey residential buildings without elevators, involving 4,024 households.
in recent years, the proportion of elderly people over 60 years old living in the community has increased year by year, and there is an urgent need to install elevators. in order to improve the living environment and travel conditions of residents and solve the problem of "hanging elderly" and disabled people going up and down the stairs, in 2019, lai guangying district included the installation of elevators in chaolai green home community into the practical projects for the people. in addition to government financial subsidies, the funds used will be borne by the township collective.
installing an elevator is a systematic project, involving fire protection, electricity, gas, water supply, drainage, heating, etc., and also needs to take into account construction safety, elevator noise, residents' privacy and other issues. lai guangying district has held several consultation meetings to coordinate the district housing and construction committee, government functional departments, communities, property companies, construction units, design units and residents to communicate face-to-face to resolve residents' demands.
taking into account the actual needs of residents, the elevator installation project plan adopts an elderly-friendly design and fully absorbs residents' opinions. "the car is designed to be longer and wider to facilitate the entry of emergency stretchers and wheelchairs. handrails are installed in the car and corridor, and the unit doors are designed as barrier-free passages." chaolai green home property management staff introduced that this project selected low-noise elevator equipment to reduce noise interference, and used anti-peep glass to protect residents' privacy. the installation location was selected on the shady side to reduce the impact on the lighting of the lower floors.
